Are the triple rolls demonstrated in lesson 11 applicable only to E. F# and G? Is there a any technique that can be used to simulate that ornament when playing notes above G? Thanks, Sean.
You could do a triple roll on A, though it's a bit tricky and I don't remember hearing anyone use it. To do so, you'd play a C# cut, a B cut, followed by a G tap. With practice, I'm sure it would be as easy as the rest but it's not one that I use myself. To play something similar on a B or a C you'd have to involve some tonguing -- which would be fine, of course -- but that would make it sound significantly different.
